Peterhead bolstered by Riley and Kerr signings

Jim McInally has bolstered his Peterhead squad for the second half of the season by signing both Nicky Riley and Cammy Kerr on deals until the summer transfer window.

Riley and Kerr began the 2014/15 season with Dundee at Dens Park before joing the Blue Toon on loan. Riley's time at Balmoor was cut short in November when he ended his association with Dundee but the 28-year-old former Dees favourite has now signed a permanent contract with Peterhead.

Young full back Cammy Kerr was drafted in as a short-term replacement for departing Balmoor hero Graeme Sharp but quickly impressed with his direct, attacking play. The 19-year-old has joined Peterhead on loan until the summer.

Last night boss Jim McInally said: "Nicky and Cammy were both key for us before Christmas.

"It would have been really hard to come in and replace Graeme Sharp straight away but wee Cammy's come in and done really well. He's been getting better and better.

"Nickey offers us something a bit different and his link up play with Rory (McAllister) is really dangerous."

In other transfer news, Dean Richardson and Ryan McCann have joined Pollock Juniors on loan to build "match fitness".
