Andy Rodgers took his tally to four goals in the last three games as Peterhead belatedly recorded their first clean sheet of the season in the last game at Hampden before it is transformed for next year's Commonwealth Games.

The former Falkirk and Ayr United striker put the Blue Toon in front against a Spiders side rooted to the bottom of the table, and Graeme Sharp made it 2-0 eight minutes from the interval.

Rodgers curled home his second after 56 minutes and Bryan Gilfillan added a fourth just two minutes later.

Rory McAllister wrapped up a fine victory for the Blue Toon when he found the net for the eighth time this season, with six minutes remaining.
