The Blue Toon crashed out of the Ramsdens Cup at the first hurdle despite impressing in the opening and closing stages of the match against Second Division East Fife.

The Blue Toon had started well but fell behind to a Scott McBride penalty after ten minutes, and were further adrift when Collin Samuel headed home just after the break.

The introduction of Martin Bavidge and Robbie Winters from the bench sparked frsh life into Jim McInally's men, and Rory McAllister pulled a goal back with 15 minutes remaining, but they were unable to find a leveller.
