Peterhead training kit could be seen across country

Mon 23 Mar 2020

Peterhead boss Jim McInally reckons that there will be sightings of Peterhead training kit in unexpected places up and down the country after his players were given fitness programmes to keep them in shape during football’s shutdown.

The Blue Toon’s fitness coach Stuart Hogg handed over detailed instructions to the Balmoor squad at the end of last week and due to their wide-spread locations McInally reckons that his players will be seen running all over Scotland.

McInally explained: “We cannot train just now but the players still have work to do. Stuart has given them detailed instructions which complies with the advice that the government has been handed out.”

“It mostly involves running long distances in open spaces. When you consider we have players based from Aberdeen to Dumfries there could be a lot of people seeing Peterhead colours far away from Balmoor and thinking that is some run they have been on.”

“It is not ideal but there is very little else we can do.
