Armour back quicker than expected

Thu 13 Feb 2020

Peterhead have received a boost with the news that striker Ben Armour will be back in half the time than was originally expected to be after suffering a hamstring injury against Dumbarton last month.

The former Morton frontman netted the winner against the Sons before limping off with a suspected torn hamstring however the injury is not as extensive as first feared and Armour could even make an appearance against East Fife this weekend.

Manager Jim McInally said: “Ben was due to be out for up to 8 weeks however he took part in some training on Tuesday night which was great news. We will monitor him to see what reaction there is and if there is none he will come into my thoughts for the weekend.”

Jamie Stevenson will not be able for the game in Fife with McInally saying: “Jamie has done some running but it is still too early for him.”
