After Wednesday night's friendly at Turriff had to be postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, the sides quickly re-arranged the match for the following night at Banks o' Dee in Aberdeen.

It proved a worthwhile exercise for Jim McInally's men, as they ran out 4-1 winners.

Rory McAllister opened the scoring after teeing himself up for a volley, and he netted the second from the penalty spot ten minutes from the interval.

Bryan Deasley was also on target, placing a 10-yard effort past goalkeeper Andy Reid, before Martin Bavidge made it four with a spectacular volley beating Reid at his near post.

Robbie Henderson bagged a late consolation for the 'home' side.
