Peterhead boss Jim McInally has made Alan Cook his latest signing of the Transfer Window with the former Dumbarton, Stirling Albion, Airdrie, Arbroath, East Fife and Alloa wide left sided player ending a third stint with Stenhousemuir to join the Blue Toon.

The Ochilview club advised League 1 sides last week that Cook was available on loan however the 27-year-old was keen to kick-start his career with a permanent move and after discussions a move to Balmoor was agreed between all parties.

McInally said: “Alan’s transfer to us has taken longer than expected as he had to work out a few things with Stenhousemuir. It looked like it was off however what has remained consistent is that we wanted Alan to come here and he wanted to come here.”

“He is a player that can get crosses into the box and we have the players that can benefit from that. We will have him in the squad to face Dumbarton this Saturday.”
