Peterhead could start with Armour on

Tue 24 Dec 2019

Peterhead manager Jim McInally may give summer signing Ben Armour the chance to prove that he is the answer to the Blue Toon’s lack of goals.

The 21 year old former Morton attacker has not been able to force himself into McInally’s starting eleven however Armour may get a start against Clyde this weekend.

McInally said: “Our season has not kicked off yet and the biggest reasons is that we simply do not score enough goals. The players are all working hard, and the build-up play is good, but we do not convert enough chances.”

“Our midfielder Scott Brown is the top scorer with six goals and that sums up where we are. Ben came on against East Fife at the weekend for the final ten minutes and he really perked us up. He helped turn the game and allowed us to get a goal back.”

“He is in my thoughts for the weekend to see if he can do that from the start.”
