Jim - delighted to get that win for Robbie

Tue 10 Dec 2019

Peterhead manager Jim McInally was delighted that his side grabbed a win on Saturday as it was a fitting tribute to Robbie Morrison who passed away at the end of last month.

The father of chairman Rodger, supported the club and served it for many years on match -days in a Boardroom capacity and was a regular attendee at Balmoor until the start of this season.

A minute's silence was held before the 3-0 success over Stranraer with Jim saying: “I did not want to say anything before the funeral on Monday but I really wanted us to win at the weekend for Robbie.”

“He was a great supporter of the club and my wife Alison was very fond of him due to the warm welcome he gave her when she visited and for all their chats during games.”

“He is missed by Rodger, his family and everyone at the club so it was good to get a positive result on Saturday."
