Summer signing Ryan Conroy was priased by manager Jim McInally for the growing influence he is having on the Peterhead team.

The 32 year old former Celtic, Dundee, Raith Rovers and Queen of the South midfielder joined the Blue Toon from Airdrie and grabbed his first goals for the club in Saturday's 3-0 home win over Stranraer. It was a game that he nearly missed due to an ankle problem picked up in training however Jim was delighted that Conroy's contribution has grown as he explained: "We are now seeing the best of Ryan even though he rolled his ankle in training and was a doubt for Saturday's game. He joined us after our pre-season programme had started and it took him a bit of time to settle. He is a good player and we are seeing more and more from him in every game. He has a great left foot and hardly ever gives the ball away."

Jim added: "He almost scored with free-kicks at Dumbarton and then at Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup so goals have been coming. He is up and running now."
