Blue Toon manager Jim McInally: :“It was frustrating.”

“I felt it was a right good game at 11 versus 11 because it was really open and I thought that would be the case as we set up to be positive.”

“We missed a couple of early chances and so did Clyde, especially from set-pieces, and when David Goodwillie got sent off, you think all your Christmases have come at once.”

“But we never got a chance to expose them and I felt we were too tentative and waiting for somebody else to come up with a bit of magic.”

“Our crossing was not good enough and we did not have enough shots at goal either.”

“You can see that some players, and I don’t know why, are a bit short of confidence in the final third especially.”

“I have just reminded them that in the last four games we have won two, drawn one and lost one so it is not bad form.”

“I could not see the red card, although the boys were saying that Goodwillie did elbow David Ferguson. Whether he meant it, only he knows but the referee was close enough to make the decision.”

“I really have no opinion on it, although I was delighted it happened because he started the game like a player, who had scored five goals the week before.”

“He scored a brilliant goal and he is just a top player playing at the wrong level.”
