Queen’s Park v Peterhead | League 2 Preview

Fri 03 May 2019

Peterhead have their sights set on silverware.

The Blue Toon will be crowned League 2 champions on Saturday with a result against Queen’s Park at Hampden.

A win will definitely seal the title but a draw could also be good enough due to Clyde inferior goal difference.

Peterhead are determined to get over the disappointment of conceding a stoppage equaliser to Stirling Albion when the trophy was snatched away with seconds remaining.

Forward Ryan Dow said: “It is still in our hands.”

“We need to remember how bad we felt after the Stirling Albion game because we don’t want to feel like that again.”

“It was just unbelievable the way it happened because it was literally the last kick of the ball they scored.”

“There is no point in moping about and we move on to Hampden.”

“We knew we had two shots to win the league so have another opportunity to go and do it.”

Dow has recovered from a facial injury sustained in the first half against the Binos but Mick Dunlop remains unavailable as he completes a two-game ban.
