Elgin City v Peterhead: League 2 Preview

Fri 19 Apr 2019

Peterhead will look to preserve their excellent record against Elgin and maintain their advantage at the top of League 2 when the teams meet at Borough Briggs.

The Blue Toon have enjoyed a string of fine results against their former Highland League rivals and another victory will keep them at least four points clear of Clyde.

In fact, Jim McInally’s team could be crowned champions IF they register a win and the Bully Wee slip up against bottom of the table Berwick.

McInally said: “The cynic in you thinks it is about time Elgin got a break against us but we just need to go and play well.”

“I would imagine we will take a good support there so we just have to try and embrace these three games.”

“We have Elgin away, a home game against Stirling Albion and then we are at Hampden for the last game so it does not come any better than that.”

“We have just got to try and enjoy it and see it through.”
