CLYDE 3-3 PETERHEAD

Blue Toon manager Jim McInally:

“I thought we defended okay but we are better than what we showed with the ball.”

“Don’t get me wrong, their equaliser was probably as good a goal as you will see all weekend but generally we should have seen the game out.”

“There was a potential penalty that we got away with and then we have a player that goes and punches the ball, which is unexplainable and it completely changed the nature of the game.”

“That is where my anger comes from because we were 3-1 up at the time and in control and we could have picked Clyde off.”

“Had you said to me before the game it would finish 3-3, I would have taken that and it would not have been so bad had Clyde got back into it on their own merit.”

“But for us to gift them that lift with an individual error is beyond belief.”

“I am sure when the anger goes away I will be reasonably happy but at the moment, no.”
