Blue Toon boss keen to keep on loan Dow

Thu 06 Dec 2018

Peterhead manager Jim McInally is eager to extend Ross County attacker Ryan Dow’s stay at Balmoor.

But the Blue Toon boss has admitted the situation regarding his son-in-law is out of his hands.

Dow has shone since arriving from the Championship club on loan, scoring twice in 10 appearances.

The 27 year old is due to return to the Staggies in January but McInally hopes he can retain his services.

McInally said: “I am leaving it up to Ryan to sort out with the management team at Ross County.”

“The situation is that he knows we would love to have him back so between him and his manager, they can sort it out.”

”But basically Ryan can only play for us or Ross County now for the rest of this season.”

“He is not in a position where he can go back and then leave to go and play somewhere else because he has already played for Ross County.”

“I really do not know what the staff at Ross County are thinking but I have asked Ryan to try and tidy things up as soon as he can.”
