Game-time the goal for young midfielder

Peterhead youngster Aaron Norris is aiming to flourish at Formartine and ultimately blossom with the Blue Toon.

The 20 year old made his first loan appearance for the Pitmedden club in Saturday’s Highland League win over Fraserburgh, who his dad Kevin represented for many years.

Norris has been farmed out until January and believes more time on the pitch will benefit his game.

He said: “Getting minutes on the pitch is the main reason for coming to the club.”

“I have not been playing as much as I would like but Formartine are a good side and I am happy to be here."

“I feel if I give it my best shot then I will keep myself in the side on a regular basis but we will see.”

“I hope this can be a platform to play more for Peterhead.”

Blue Toon boss Jim McInally certainly sees potential in the former Aberdeen rookie, having recently handed him a one-year contract extension.

Norris added: “With that extra year, the manager sees something in me.”

“Hopefully I can prove him right and show that I am capable of getting into his team.”
