Peterhead 0-2 Dundee: What the managers said

Peterhead 0-2 Dundee

Betfred Cup Group D

Peterhead manager Jim McInally:

“I thought we did well.”

“We were well organised, we defended well but offensively we could have done better.”

“We are still working on that part of our game and trying to get the strikers up to speed, although we are getting there.”

“Defensively it was a really good performance against a good side, who have some players that are hard work to play against.”

“But I am pleased after Saturday because I thought we looked out on our feet against Stirling but here we were fresher and now we have 10 days to get ready for the main objective, which is Queen’s Park.”

Dundee manager Neil McCann:

“Clearly, Peterhead were going to make it difficult.”

“They dropped everybody right off the ball and, at times, they had all 11 players in their half which denied the space.”

“It was difficult to thread balls through but I thought we were patient enough and scored two really good goals.”

“We could have made it an easier last few minutes because you are just never sure especially when Peterhead got a corner as well.  Anything could have happened.”

“But I am pleased to come away from a difficult venue with the three points.”
