Peterhead go for a clean sweep of wins over Elgin in their bid to take the League 2 title race to the wire.

Jim McInally’s men have scored 12 goals without reply against the Borough Briggs side ahead of their meeting in Moray.

They also managed a 3-0 win in the Betfred Cup at the beginning of the season and racking up another victory would pile the pressure on leaders Montrose.

The Blue Toon trail the Gable Endies by three points going into the last two matches of the campaign but they do have momentum after four straight wins.

Midfielder Scott Brown said: “The run that we are on just now is good and we are thinking that if do Montrose slip up, we are there to win the league.”

“But if not, we will go into the play-offs in a great run of form and we should have the belief to go ahead and get promoted.”

“All we can do is keep applying the pressure on Montrose by taking it game by game and keep on winning.”

“They have a tough game coming up at Stenhousemuir but then so do we against Elgin.  We will just try to go and win the game, that is all we can do.”
