“It was an important three points and a pretty decent performance on a pitch that was treacherous at times.”

“We kept trying to play and apart from a couple of hairy moments, I thought we actually did well and the game should have been more comfortable.”

“As soon as Clyde scored, all the little doubts started to creep in after what happened last week at Annan.”

“But we kicked on again and I thought the two wide players, Chris Johnston and Aaron Norris, played well.”

“We have been chasing a long time and who knows if there will be games on this weekend so it is good to go top.”

“With a quarter of the season to go, we are certainly in the firing line but we are delighted to be up there.”

“It was a disappointing first half in terms of going 2-0 down and we had a couple of good chances ourselves.”

“I was not too happy with how we conceded against Stirling Albion on Saturday and it was similar here, although I thought Russell McLean was a handful for our two centre-backs.”

“But I got the reaction I wanted in the second half because we played with a bit of determination and we scored a very good goal through David Goodwillie.”

“We then had a fantastic opportunity to equalise through David but I will not criticise him because he creates and scores his own opportunities.”

“Overall I am disappointed to come all this way and go back down the road with nothing other than a spirited second half.”
