Peterhead have the incentive of going top of League 2 with a win over Clyde at Balmoor on Tuesday.

The fixture is the Blue Toon’s last game in hand on current leaders Montrose but a home win would see the top two swap places by virtue of goal difference.

The Buchan men have been impressive on their travels this season, picking up 10 victories away from home, which is more than any other club.

Peterhead’s latest three points came at Cowdenbeath but their form on their own patch has not been as convincing, winning half of their dozen matches.

Clyde have yet to visit the north east this season but they will arrive in confident mood after a fine run of results.

The Bully Wee’s sequence of five straight wins was ended by Stirling Albion on Saturday but, in David Goodwillie, they have one of the form players in the division.

The former Scotland striker already has 18 goals this term, including eight since the New Year.

Goodwillie was the matchwinner when the teams met last month at Broadwood but the Blue Toon won the previous meeting in Cumbernauld 4-1 in October.
