Peterhead 1-1 Berwick: Reaction From The Dugout

PETERHEAD 1-1 BERWICK RANGERS

POST-MATCH THOUGHTS

Peterhead assistant manager Davie Nicholls:

“We should have won the game.”

“When a team comes up here and starts time-wasting right at the start of the second half, it tells you everything.”

“The ball just did not fall for us.  Sometimes when you are winning game after game, things fall into place but now the players have to grind it out.”

“I am sure that will make them stronger and they will learn from it because we have a very young team.”

“I will put my neck on the line and say it - we will catch Montrose.”

“I believe in every player in our dressing room and they believe in each other.  Okay, results have not gone our way lately but I am sure we will kick on.”

Berwick boss Robbie Horn:

“I am absolutely delighted with the point.”

“There were times in the first half when we rode our luck, although we still carried a threat going forward.”

“But the second half was all Peterhead and it was a case of digging in and trying to get the result.”

“The players did that so it was a good day’s work because, in my opinion, Peterhead are the best team in the league.”

“A lot of pressure came our way and it just felt like we could not get out at all in the second half but it was important we picked up something after losing a few games back to back.”
