Peterhead 3-0 Edinburgh City: Reaction From The Dugout

Sun 03 Dec 2017

After-match thoughts

Peterhead manager Jim McInally

"I am happy with the win and although I thought we deserved it, the scoreline was a bit flattering."

"Greg Fleming had to make a great save in each half and their goalkeeper had some saves to make as well."

"It was an open game and I have to give credit to Edinburgh because they came up here with three strikers and that was really refreshing."

"It was end-to-end stuff and they made it like that because of how they played."

"I went to watch Edinburgh last week and they never played with that intensity but I did think we deserved to win, even though we were sloppy at times."

"But it is all about winning and we will take it as it is good momentum."

Edinburgh City manager James McDonaugh

“It was a decent game and from our point of view, I thought we played quite well.”

“We are probably the best first half team in Scotland but we are probably the worst second half team in Scotland.”

“It was a bit of slack football that cost us and Chris McKee probably did not need to pull back Rory McAllister.”

“McAllister would have been through one-on-one and he may have missed but even if he scores, we would still have had 43 minutes to claw it back. “

“We are doing alright at that stage of the game so who is to say we could not have got back into the game?”
