Peterhead have taken seven points from their three matches against Queen's Park this season without conceding a goal.

The Blue Toon, currently occupying the relegation play-off spot, won convincingly in both the Balmoor fixtures.

The game at Hampden in November ended in stalemate, which was a creditable outcome for the Aberdeenshire side after Simon Ferry was sent off for a last man foul.

If Jim McInally's men can rediscover their form and end a nine-match winless run, they would put the pressure on the teams above them, including Saturday's opponents.

Skipper Ferry said: "We need to start winning and on Saturday we have a chance to bring Queen's Park back into it."

"It's a must-win but we have been saying that for a while now."

"No way are we just looking to keep ahead of Stenhousemuir. We are trying to get out of ninth spot."

"We are not looking behind us, we are aiming to catch the teams above us so we need to be positive and go for a win, which would put pressure on the likes of Stranraer, Albion Rovers and Queen's Park."

Team news - Craig Reid (hamstring) is set to join fellow central defender Liam Gordon on the sidelines but Scott Ross is set for a recall after an illness.
