Friendly fixtures and squad news

Mon 04 Jul 2016

Fully recharged after their exertions last season, Peterhead return to action tomorrow (Tuesday) as they build up to the new campaign.

The Blue Toon are at Montrose for their first pre-season friendly fixture. Kick off at Links Park is 7.30pm.

Highland League opposition awaits this weekend, with Jim McInally's men up against Fraserburgh at Bellslea Park on Saturday (3pm kick off) and then Formartine in Pitmedden on Sunday (2pm kick off)

So far, the squad has a near identical look to last season with all the players, apart from Shane Sutherland, agreeing new deals for 2016/17.

The new faces are former Stranraer defender Scott Rumsby, who arrives at Balmoor on a one year contract, and Huntly goalkeeper Fraser Hobday, who has agreed a season long loan.

However, Peterhead are actively seeking to make more new signings and are in discussions with transfer targets.

Meanwhile Scott Adams has requested a transfer and is in talks with several Highland League clubs.
