Defender eyeing maiden Hampden appearance

Tue 27 Oct 2015

Cammy Kerr is relishing the chance to play at the national stadium for the first time.

Peterhead will come up against Queen’s Park at Hampden on Saturday 14th November in the semi-finals of the Petrofac Training Cup.

With the Blue Toon just one game away from reaching a first ever final since joining the Scottish Football League in 2000, Kerr admits there is a lot at stake.

The 20 year old, on loan from Dundee, said: “Queen’s Park will look at the draw and say that was the best they could have hoped for – and it’s exactly the same for us.”

“It will be some experience and the chance to make history for the club by reaching a final so it should be a great day.”

“I have never played at Hampden before so I am really looking forward to it.”

“I am sure both teams will go at it but if we play like we can and maybe get a bit of luck on the day, we should see ourselves through."

Rangers and St Mirren will contest the other semi final on the 28th November.
