Greig Smith

When Sandy Rennie decided to retire as Peterhead physiotherapist at the end of the 2005-06 season, his presence was sorely missed. His connections with the club stretched back to the 1970’s when he was a reliable full-back in the team, and he had proved equally reliable in his physio role. For a year, Peterhead used a variety of different solutions to deal with their sporting injuries until Greig arrived at the club in June 2007.

Greig was already running his own mobile sports clinic from his Aberdeen base, and was able to bring with him an unparalleled knowledge of sporting injuries and their treatment. He had previously had a spell as manager of Fochabers Thistle, so he had the added advantage of being a football man who understood the complexities of the game itself. There is no doubt that the appointment has proved of great benefit to Peterhead F.C.
