Peterhead Charged by SPFL at disciplinary hearing

At a disciplinary hearing yesterday (Monday, 24th November) the SPFL Board charged Peterhead Football Club for playing Reece Donaldson in a league match whilst he was serving a Scottish FA suspension.

Peterhead FC accepted the breech of SPFL regulation 21 and requested leniency on the basis of extenuating circumstances.

The Club fully accept that “In the interest of sporting integrity and fairness to both sides, the game should be replayed”. However the Club are shocked and disappointed with the severity of the fine imposed.

Peterhead FC will not be appealing the decision by the SPFL board and no further comment will be made until after the Principal Hearing with the SFA Disciplinary Tribunal to be held on Thursday 4th December 2014.
