Post Match Reaction

PETERHEAD MANAGER JIM McINALLY

"It was fine but we can do better."

"We need to be a bit more ruthless because when we went three up, we played a lot of nice football and kept possession."

"But I wanted us to push on and finish the game off, although it was pleasing to keep a clean sheet especially when Nicky Riley went off."

"His red card was the only negative really."

"We did okay but we can still play better and I think we will improve because these players are still gelling as a team and they are still finding out about each other."

"There was still a lot of good stuff and a lot of good performances."

"It was great for Allan Smith to get his first goal. He works his socks off and I have always had hopes that he can do a turn for us and I am sure he will."

ELGIN BOSS JIM WEIR

"Peterhead have good players, who are very creative, so this was always going to be a hurdle for us."

"But it was the manner of the goals that we lost, which was disappointing.  It was stuff that you would maybe see in the school ground."

"The first and third goals were absolutely ridiculous and when you make mistakes like that, it is always tough to come back."

"The second goal right on half time, was that a penalty kick? Well, I just hope we get our share of penalties like that."

"At the end of the day, the buck stops with me.  I signed these players and I still trust a lot of these players."

"Some are coming up short just now and what we are producing is coming up short and I am part of that so we have got to look between now and the end of the window to see if we can shuffle things around a bit."
