Balmoor will host a first-ever competitive meeting between Peterhead and Hearts on Tuesday evening.

To stay alive in the Betfred Cup, the Blue Toon must upset their Premiership opponents, who themselves need a result to go above current Group B leaders Dunfermline.

This time last year, Jim McInally's men were in the exact same situation, having taken three points from their first two group games, and they duly delivered against Dundee, a result which was pivotal in their progression to the knock-out stage.

Peterhead will need to tighten up, to have any chance, having shipped five goals at Dunfermline on Saturday.

Rory McAllister has scored in both matches so far while three of the Jamnbos' four goals have come from summer signing Kyle Lafferty.
