Transfer business now finished, claims boss

Mon 23 Jan 2017

Jim McInally is confident Peterhead can pick up their form in the second half of the season and prove his January signings have not come a window too late.

The former Dundee Utd midfielder's phone has been red hot this month concluding five deals, following a quieter than expected summer in the transfer market.

Aaron Comrie, Liam Gordon, Michael McMullin, Allan Smith and Grant Anderson have all been brought in respectively in a bid to reinvigorate the eighth-placed Blue Toon.

However, there will be no more acquisitions according to the Balmoor manager, who is now happy with his freshened up squad.

McInally said: "That is us concluding our business now."

"I am really happy at the signings we have made and it has been the most proactive we have been for a while."

"This window has been quite productive and easier for us to do business in than any other window."

"It has been a good one for us and I think we required that."

"We probably required it in the summer but, as hard as I tried, I could not do it for whatever reason."

McInally concluded: "All in all, I am pleased and I think the changes will do us all good in terms of bringing a freshness to the squad."

"I just hope we can kick on from here on in."
