Petrofac Cup Final Result

Sun 10 Apr 2016

Peterhead has much to be proud of in its first appearance in a senior national cup final.  The match didn’t go the north-east side’s way, ending in defeat to a dominant Rangers side.  Despite a strong performance from the Peterhead players, Rangers controlled much of the game.

The 2016 Petrofac Training Cup final was the biggest match in the Blue Toon’s 125-year history and a crowd of 48,133 packed into Hampden Park to watch the spectacle.  Although they created some good set pieces and were organised in defence, Peterhead lost to Rangers, with the Glasgow side winning 4-0.
