PREVIEW Peterhead v. Albion Rovers

Sat 05 Sep 2015

The visit of the Wee Rovers to Balmoor gives Jim McInally and his Blue Toon squad a good opportunity to redeem their form following a disappointed defeat at Airdrieonians.

Only creative midfielder Jamie Stevenson (hamstring injury) is missing from the Peterhead lineup today and Albion Rovers manager Darren Young has already admitted his side are wary of the attacking prowess Balmoor's boys in blue possess.

Neither Shane Sutherland nor Rory McAllister could find a way past the Diamonds in last week's 1-0 defeat at the Excelsior but both are eager to hit back against Young's side.

The Cliftonhill side head north with keeper Ross Stewart on the bus after he was released from the Scotland U-21 team.

Scott McBride is also available after an injury layoff but Kyle Turnbull, John Gemmell and Callum McRobbie miss out.

Jim McInally said: "Albion Rovers have won well at home this season and I am sure that they will want to start winning on the road now."

Peterhead have scored an average of two goals each game at Balmoor in the 2015-16 campaign and Albion Rovers have yet to score a single goal away from Cliftonhill.
