EDINBURGH CITY 0-3 PETERHEAD

It has been a couple of happy away days for Peterhead, who followed up on their demolition of Cowdenbeath with a commanding win against Edinburgh City at Ainslie Park.

In a first-ever meeting between the teams, the Blue Toon, who brought back Jack Leitch in place of the rested Simon Ferry, were ahead at the interval.

Central defender Jason Brown made the breakthrough with his second goal for the club in the 21st minute.

Russell McLean, after recovering from a foot injury, came on as a second half substitute and the big striker gave the visitors a two-goal cushion with eight minutes remaining.

Moments later, Scott Brown, for the second game in a row, put the seal on the victory as an efficient Peterhead climbed a place to second in the table.
