Stranraer 0-4 Peterhead

Sat 15 Aug 2015

Scorers: McAllister (5', 57'), Brown (79'), McIntosh (80')

Jim McInally and the Blue Toon banished a dismal run of form against last season's Scottish League One runners up Stranraer with victory at Stair Park.

Two goals from Rory McAllister put the visitors on top before Jordon Brown put the icing on the cake. Leighton McIntosh's close range strike in the 80' minute proved to be the cherry on top.

For the second week running, hitman Rory McAllister opened the scoring for Peterhead with a set piece goal. When Scott Rumsby brought McAllister down just outside the box in the 5th minute, the striker dusted himself off and netted with a low strike.

McAllister's effort was all that separated the two sides going into the break after Peterhead and Stranraer both had a decent share of the ball.

It was in the 57th minute that the visitors pressed home their advantage. McAllister, on target yet again, doubled the Blue Toon's lead with a right-footed shot into the net from a corner.

Then 20 minutes later Brown sealed all three points with a guided header, before substitute McIntosh once again impressed and bagged himself a share of the goal-scoring spoils.
